Found this while on Pinterst and love it. They are doing it with candy which is great but I would do it with a mixture of candy and non sweet items. The ball would be a great party game or something fun to do on Christmas Eve.

Happy Sunday!!

I have several orders that I should be working but just can't get motivated to go to work. I have spent about 2 hours looking at Pinterest and I found the perfect table and chairs for my dining room/kitchen when I move.

It's rainy, gloomy, and cold here today, I actually love it but everyone else is missing the sunshine we had for a couple of days. I've been working on new things for the store and I can't wait for you to see the NON-scary monster booboo bags filled with rice in my store http://www.etsy.com/listing/98282842/on-sale-fleece-orange-monster-booboo-bag.

It is so hard for us when our children or grandchildren fall and hurt themselves but keep one or two of these in the freezer for those bumps and bruises and soon tears will turn into laughter.

It was so nice here yesterday we mowed and cleaned the yard, it has been rainy and cold for months but it looks like we are going to have another great day today.
I've also been working on something new for the store, I think it will be great for mothers day, bridesmaid presents, or teacher's gifts. I think they would be great as a birthday party treat bag filled with fun nail polish or make up for an older girl.

I'm visiting my grandkids in New Mexico and having a wonderful time. It is windy, dusty, and allergy season but that's March. I think we are going to dig up the garden and add some top soil so that when its time to plant they will be ready. I found this gardening site on www.pinterest where you enter your zip code and find out what and when you can plant.

Paper Mache Easter Eggs

Found these on Pinterest and fell in love with them, We are going to be making something close and will be adding them to www.itsthesmallthings.etsy.com in the next couple of weeks but thought you might like to try and make some with your children.

I've made a few from the instructions at www.notmartha.org and they turn out really cute, I didn't add the polka dots, just did mine in solid colors.

I must admit I have a deep need to buy magazines and books, I have them everywhere, just ask my family. I try very hard not to buy them, but I always get really excited when I see a new one. I always manage to find at least one really cool idea in every craft or sewing magazine that I look at. So when I found this idea on Pinterest I knew it was a match made in heaven. I can continue to feed my new interest of living a zero waste life and create something cool and useful. Plus it will fit into my small home and help me when it comes to storage.

One of my Goals in Life

I have a lot of goals in life. One of them is to leave as little of a footprint as possible having a zero waste home and business or at least as close as possible.
At It's The Small Things we work every day to achieve this goal. We use scrap's from other projects for smaller item. For example, our finger puppets, stick puppets, and mini animals are all made with scraps of felt. I have bags and bags of small pieces of cotton fabrics that I plan to put together and make scrap crayon rolls. I think they will be really cute and all of those pieces of fabric can be used for something cute and useful. We are trying everyday to come up with more ways to reduce our waste.
I have just started researching zero waste homes and I saw this and I just love it. I know its very small but I think it will work for me and just think how small my utility bills would be.I can just imagine my green garden outside the windows and all my embroidery machines at the other end of this wonderful little home.
Let me know what you think, could you live in a tiny home?

Do you Know about Pinterest

I have always had a million bookmarks to sort thru on my computer. The bookmarks included all the things I liked and want to create. Then a few months ago I lost everything and had to start over when my computer crashed. For this reason I have become addicted to Pinetrest, it is like a dream come true for me.

Pinterest is a virtual pinboard. It allows a person to organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the internet as well as other peoples pinboards. You will find everything from projects to recipies and organizing ideas to kids activities.
